 Anuradhapura is an ancient capital of Sri Lanka. It is also the first kingdom and the first cipital of Sri Lanka . The Sri Lankan civilization based in Anuradhapura can be considered as one of the greatest civilizations that emerged in Asia and the whole world.

The city of Anuradhapura has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Anuradhapura is located at an elevation of 295 ft above sea lavel in Northern plains of Sri Lanka. Today it is the capital of the North Central Province . Anuradhapura , the current capital of Colombo city, about 205 kilometers north of the North Central Province Malwathu you near located . Anuradhapura is the longest kingdom in Sri Lanka.





 Anuradhapura was the capital of the sinhalese kingdom from the 4 th century BC to the 11 th century AD. In South Asia during that time There was a very strong  and stable and lasting political regime and popular life. It was also a great civilization with a very rich , invincible culture. At present,the ancient city of Anuradhapura , which covers an area of about 40 square kilometers and is surrounded by a large number of

                 Panuwasnuwara     Paduwasnuwara is an ancient capitel, situated in Kurunegala Districk Sri Lanka. It is said to be the controlling centre known as Parakramapura of Dakkhinadesa in the 12th century. when it was ruled byParakramabahu.
