                 Panuwasnuwara     Paduwasnuwara is an ancient capitel, situated in Kurunegala Districk Sri Lanka. It is said to be the controlling centre known as Parakramapura of Dakkhinadesa in the 12th century. when it was ruled byParakramabahu. The remaining ruins of the ancient kingdom still can be seen at Kotampitiya area which lies along Wariyapola-Chilaw main road about 19km away from Wariyapola town.     As the Successor of his uncle king Kirti Sri Megha, prince Parakramabahu became the  ruler of Dakkhinadesa in 1140.It was the first capital of Parakrambahu and one of the three discrete kingdoms into which the Island was divided.  Historical evidences prove that king Parakramabahu had made steps to develop the infrastructure and other common facilities in the ruling territory. Kiri Vehera

                        Kiri Vehera Kiri Vehera is an ancient stupa situated in Kataragama, Sri Lanka.  This stupa probably dates back to the 3rd century BC and is believed to have been built by King Mahasena, a regional ruler of Kataragama area. One of the most popular Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the country, Kiri Vehera is among the Solosmasthana, the 16 most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites of ancient Sri Lanka.  This stupa which is 95 ft. in height with a circumference of 280 ft. is located 800 m North to the famous Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya.                     Kindom of Kotte The kingdom of kotte,c apital  ,Kotte, was a sinhalese kingdom  that flourished in Sri Lanka during  the15 century . As the Successor of his uncle king Kirti Sri Megha, prince Parakramabahu became the ruler of Dakkhinadesa in 1140 A.D It was the three discrete kingdoms into which the Island was divided. Historical evidences prove that king  parakramabahu had made steps to develop the infrastructure and other common facilities in the ruling territory.  During this time period he had constructed a separate tooth temple at panaduwasnuwara Raja Maha Vihara premises for tooth relic of Buddha to keep it safe.  After series of successful battles with his enemies parakramabahu managed to conquer the control of entire nation and moved to polonnaruwa where his new capital was built. Dayananda Gunawardana

        Dayananda Gunawardana     Dayananda Gunawardena, was a Sri Lankan play wright, actor, lyricist, dramatist, radio play producer, and Sinhala Radio play writer.   Dayananda Gunawardena was born in Liyanagoda, Pannipitiya Sri Lsnka. His father, Don Simon, was an English teacher.Gunawardena completed his schooling at the Igampola Governmebt School and continued education at the Veyangoda Government Secondary School Beginning in 1951, he attended Ananda College in Colombo.     While at school, he was active in many societies such as the drama socient, in which he acted as the Junior Vadet Captain, and won the trophy of "best cadet".       Gunawardena also served as the vice-president of the college geographic society. At Ananda college he was awarded the D.B.Jayatilleke Literary Awary and the Amarasena Art Award. In 1957 he joined the University of Peradeniya and completed his General Arts Qualifying Examination. Jayalath Manorathna

            Jayalath Manorathna Kala Suri Kala Keerthi Dr. Keselgaspe Manatunga Jayalath Manoratne he was born 12 June 1948.  popularly known as Jayalath Manoratne, was an award-winning actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television. He was a lecturer by profession as well as a director and producer.  A highly versatile actor from drama to comedy, Manoratne won awards at OCIC. Presidential, Sarasavi, Raigam Tele'es, Sumathi and the State Literary and Drama festivals. He was the best actor back to back in 1991 and 1992 for his performance in Socrates and Dvitva. He is considered by critics as one of the five actors who have dominated the Sri Lankan Stage . He died January 12,2020, Apeksha Hospital Maharagama. Danaji Panawala 🖊️

Henry Jayasena

                  Henry Jayasena He was born on 6 July 1931 in Bendiyamulla, Gampaha. He attended to the Gampaha branch of Lorenz College for primary education. He then attended to Nalanda College Colombo for his secondary education.  During his time at the school, he was classmates with many successful people, among who were Dr. Dharmasena Attygalle, Karunaratne Abeysekera, Dr. Harischandra Wijayatunga, Dr. Hudson Silva, Hon. Rupa Karunathilake. Jayasena was married to fellow actress Manel Ilangakoon in 1962.  Manel layed the lead role in Jayasena's play Kuweni and won the best actress award for her performance at the State Drama Festival. The couple has one son, Sudaraka Jayasena. Manel has acted in many popular television serials such as Ekagei Kurullo, Sathpura Wasiyo and Hiru Kumari. She died in 2004 at age 68. Danaji Panawala 🖊️
